Who processes the data
The data controller is NICOLAS RAILOVSKY FILMS SRL, registered office at Str. Mărgelelor nr. 10K, camera 1, Bragadiru, Ilfov County, Romania, Trade Register no. J23/7251/2023, tax ID (CUI) 40291219. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
What data we collect
From the testing form: your name, email address, the system you work on (Mac or Windows) and the software you edit in.
From the app, for the trial and the license: the email you request the license with, the license code and a computer code, which contains no name and reveals nothing about what is on your computer. It is used to count the trial (weddings and days) and to keep track of the license’s two computers.
The app log, only if you send it yourself, from the Log, with “Send to us”. It leaves without the couple’s names and without file paths.
Technical data from visiting the site and downloading: IP address, browser and time. We use them to stop abuse, such as repeated sign-ups, and to count downloads from your personal link.
Your footage, projects, clips and the couple’s names never reach us. CULLSYNC works on your computer.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
To give you the app, your personal download link and the trial, at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR: steps taken at your request before a contract and to perform it).
To check the license and the trial and to answer you when you write to us or send us the log (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To let you know when a new version of the app you are testing is out (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in keeping testers up to date). You can stop these messages at any time with an email.
To keep the site and the form secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in preventing abuse).
To meet legal obligations, such as accounting ones, once there are sales (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We do not profile you, take automated decisions about you or sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Form and license data, for as long as testing lasts and you use the app, then at most 2 years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Logs sent from the app, at most 12 months.
Technical security data, as long as the providers below keep it, usually a few days or weeks.
Accounting records, if there are any, as long as the law requires.
Who else receives the data
We share data only with the providers who help us run the app, and only as much as they need:
Cloudflare: hosting of cullsync.com, of the download files and of the anti-spam check.
Amplica: hosting of nicolasrailovsky.ro, where the form sign-ups arrive.
Google: the license sheet and server, and the email you write to us with.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies and no tracking scripts.
It only remembers, in your browser’s localStorage, the language you chose with the RO / EN button, so it doesn’t switch you to another language on your next visit. This is strictly necessary for the feature you asked for, so it needs no consent. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Cloudflare may use technical security cookies, needed to protect the site from attacks and bots.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.
If you believe your rights were not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru nr. 28-30, Sector 1, Bucharest, www.dataprotection.ro, or with the authority in your own country.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date below. If the change is significant, we let testers know by email.
